Name the song the line is from Part II

That's a good one! Little Jeannie, by Elton.

I understand these gals are working on a new studio album. I loved when they used to harmonize on songs like this one, from 1990:

Come on darlin,' hear me darlin'
'Cause you're a waste of time for me

That’s “Release Me” by Wilson Philips. I like some of the 1990s stuff.

Dare I post one from 1994?

The more I get of you,
The stranger it feels, yeah.

In case you need hints, here’s some information I got from Wikipedia:
The song was first released as a single in July 1994. Re-released in 1995, it was included on the Batman Forever film soundtrack, helping it top the charts in the U.S. and Australia.
It took the 1996 Grammy Awards for both Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
The artist also won Best Male Pop Vocal Performance.
I finally gave in and googled.

I realized that I'd heard it before, and it's actually a pretty good song, but I didn't know it by name.

Oh, well. Maybe Mr. Tony will know it if he's playing tonight, but I'm out. Sorry.

(Edit: I was typing this while you were hinting, Cyndee, but I had already googled. I don't think the hints would have helped anyway -- I was too far in the dark on this one. )

Well, it looks like the 90s isn’t our decade today after all. The song is “Kiss from a Rose” by Seal.

1973 should do better:

Makes no difference where you are
Day or nighttime you're like a shinin' star

Good Morning and Happy Thanksgiving All,

A big HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! to Jim

Have a great day there, Pal.

Oh, wow!

Thank you so much, Cyndee. That was very thoughtful, and it is very much appreciated.

My God, living where you do, you had to get up in the middle of the night to do that! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Now go back to bed and get some sleep, pal!

And to Cyndee and everyone else...HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

(I guess it's not a holiday for you, Tony, but we can still wish you a happy day, too, buddy! )

Oops, almost forgot. I'm supposed to guess lyrics here, aren't I?

Cyndee, it looks like you went from Seal to Seals & Crofts. Works for me. I think that's Diamond Girl.

This one was done by a female artist who took it to #8 in the UK in late '75, and #2 in the US in early '76:

A love like ours
(A love like ours)
Can never fade away
You know it's only just begun
You give me your love
(Give me your love)
I just can't stay away
I know that you're the only one

Just dropping by to wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving Holiday.

Right Back Where We Started From
Don't remember the singers first name - last name was Nightingale.

***** NEW *******

Seventies

Like everybody else, they wanna be a star

5:00 am is only a little early for me, Jim. It was the battle of wills starting at 4:15 that made it hard. You have cats, so I don’t have to tell you who won.

Tony, I believe your song is “Bad Girls” by Donna Summer.

This 1969 hit is one of my favorites:

Oh boy, when you're dead,
you don't take nothing with you but your soul
