Name the song the line is from Part II

It looks like some hints are in order.
The artist is an award winning singer/song writer who had most of her hits in the 70s while married to another well known singer/song writer. They did a remake of “Mockingbird” that was pretty popular.
The song has a one-word title. In it she asks her friends and family to remind her how much this guy hurt her in the past. She tries to convince herself that she is over him, but she really can’t resist him.

I’ll add a few more lines:

_____, I won't cut fresh flowers for you
_____, I won't make the wine cold for you
_____, I won't change the sheets for you
I won't put on cologne
I won't sit by the phone for you

I know the singer - but can't remember the song title.

It's Jesse, by Carly Simon. That's a great song!

This one's from 1977:

Now here I go again, I see the crystal visions
I keep my visions to myself

That’s one nice song to start our day, Jim. It’s “Dreams” by Fleetwood Mac.

This is still a staple, and it’s from 1964:

Okay
If that’s the way it must be, okay

They'll be doing that one on lyrics threads 100 years from now. Well, OK, maybe that's exaggerating a little bit...but 50 years from now for sure.

It's Oh, Pretty Woman, by Roy O.

And darn, if I'd been fully awake, I'd have done this one after the Carly Simon song:

I want to tell her that I love her
But the point is probably moot

That reminds me; I should look for some Rick Springfield for my library. I like a lot of his music. That one is “Jesse’s Girl”.

I can only think of one more for this pattern:

You heart is down for the count
and you know you're gonna lose it

Good one, Cyn! You thought of one more than I did.

That's Just Like Jesse James, by Cher.

These guys sounded as good live as they did on their studio albums. I liked this one from 1978:

A love song has come into my mind
A love song
It was there all the time

I do believe that is “Lady” by Little River Band.

I’ve been playing my 1980 jukebox, so here:

Where have you been hidin' out lately, honey?

I really like that song, but It's Still Rock and Roll To Me. Billy Joel said that he agreed, in so many words.

For those who want to rock, I'm told that this one from '88 is a pretty good choice (US#1 / UK#17):

I need a respirator 'cause I'm running out of breath
You're an all night generator wrapped in stockings and a dress

Sounds like a dose of Bad Medicine to me! Bon Jovi
