Name the song the line is from Part II

OK, but it's country, lol ...

"Now we're at the station,
and you're getting on,
And all I can think of is ..."

I'll give hints if needed.

OK, hints:

He's an outstanding guitar and banjo player who co-hosted Hee-Haw for many years. The song is funny and was a huge hit. It's about a guy whose wife is leaving him.
Okay, one more hint, and then I'll give it up:

The song is about a bus.

I vaguely remember a humorous little thing called Thank God and Greyhound You're Gone, or something very similar to that. Is that it?

If so, the singer would probably have to be Roy Clark or Buck Owens based on your hint. I think I remember Roy playing the banjo, but not Buck, so I'll guess Roy.

You got it, Jim. Next?

Country music humor is SOO under-rated...

Mind if I jump in????
New and easy:

"With 4 hungry children and a crop in the field.."

Great to see you back, noahcat!

I believe that would be Lucille, by Mr. Kenny Rogers.

Here's one from 1976:

Anybody could be that guy
Night is young and the music's high

HINT: Many of us have seen this song performed live in Las Vegas...not by the original group, but by the members of the cast in a musical.

Easy is what I like: You Picked a Fine Time to Leave Me, Lucille by the gambler himself.

Oops. Jim beat me to it.

Hi All,

I never saw the show, Jim. But I sure have heard that song. It’s “Dancing Queen” by ABBA.

BTW, I’ll add another “Welcome Back”, N’Cat. It’s great to see you have returned.

I understand this was huge in 1956:

Oh, although it's always crowded
you still can find some room

Indeed. In 1956, we wuz all down at the end of Lonely Street in the Heartbreak Hotel. Along with Mr. Presley, of course.

I think some mid-70s just showed up:

I wonder if I'm dreaming
I feel so unashamed

Show me the way,Peter Frampton.

Here 's one:
Yeah, it might be 1 o'clock & it might be 3

Time don't mean that much to me
