Name the song the line is from Part II

Hi All,

You know, Jim. That song says, “We Built This City” on Rock and Roll. Yet they never mention earthquakes. Go figure.

Which reminds me of this one from 1954:

Well, roll my breakfast 'cause I'm a hungry man
That sounds like "Shake Rattle & Roll," by Bill Haley & the Comets.

I have nothing new to post right now ...

Here's one from 1962:

They say there's seven wonders in the world
But what they say is out of date
There's more than seven wonders in the world
I just met number eight

Is it Venus in Blue Jeans ,by Jimmy Clanton?

Here's another from the 60's

So blow, you old Blue Northern, blow my love to me

Bob

It seems kind of familiar to me. But I can't place it.

It's "Someday Soon" by Judy Collins

How about:

Starry eyes and love is all around us...

Bob
Hi All,

I’m sure that one is “Dance With Me” by Orleans.

I think 1980 will do:

We can beat around the bushes;
We can get down to the bone
We can leave it in the parkin' lot

Uh oh. We'd better pay attention, because the Eagles are saying there's gonna be a Heartache Tonight. Good one!

This chart-topper (US and UK) is from 1971:

And only in my dreams did that wall between us come apart

I like that tune, Jim. It’s “Knock Three Times” by Dawn.

Chart standings don’t always help on here, but I sure hope someone remembers this. I really like it and it went to #3 in 1967:

See Mrs. Gray, she's proud today
because her roses are in bloom
