That's a nice duet, Cyn.

Pretty sure it's Guilty, by Barb and Barry. Streisand and Gibb, that is.

We recently did a song by a group that bears the same name as its lead singer. This 1990 tune (#1 US, #13 UK) was a solo effort by that same singer:

Well, I've seen love come
I've seen it shot down
I've seen it die in vain

Not usually too into that era but there are exceptions
Sounds like Jon Bon Jovi - Blades of Glory

***** NEW ***********

Some sixties -

I want you to think,
What your family would say.
I’m sure that’s “Dawn, Go Away” by The Four Season’s. Good one, Tony. It’s always nice to hear that.

Hair’s a little 1966:

She found fame and made her name
A Hollywood director came into town

Lady Godiva by Peter and Gordon.

"And I'll be happy to see those nice young men in their clean white coats."

Just wanted to acknowledge your joke there, Cyndee, considering the song was Lady Godiva. That was funny, and a pretty good hint, too!

Jokermgb, I think yours is They're Coming To Take Me Away, Ha Ha, by Napoleon something or other (where "something or other' was a number I've forgotten, written, I think, in Roman numerals). Good one!

This is from 1964:

I gotta find a new place where the kids are hip.

Hi All,

It’s nice to see a new player on board. Welcome jokermgb. Shall I call you “Joker”?
That’s a good choice, Jim. I really like those Beach Boys. This one is “I Get Around”. It’s a nice one to hear while driving.

I think this one line from 1969 will do (I hope):

Your momma's waiting for you

Good song - Get Back - Beatles.

Leaving it open

This is from 1965. I'll add more lyrics if needed. Pretty sure someone will know this song:

Am I asking too much for you to stick around?

Come to think of it, two lines would be better:

Listen to me, baby, it's hard to settle down
Am I asking too much for you to stick around?

Lightning is Striking...Lou Christie

I may be close to it not on exactly

single liner

You better get yourself a partner
The first thing I thought was “Rock And Roll Never Forgets” by Bob Seger. I hope that ‘s right because I have one handy here. (And I really like that one. Good choice, Phil)

I know it may sound selfish
But let me breathe the air
