Name the song the line is from Part II

I think that's "Diana," by Paul Anka.

Can't think of anything to post ... sorry.
Hi All,

I just heard this one:

Yeah, yeah, my heart’s in a whirl

Oops. Cyndee was first.

Calendar Girl - Neil Sedaka!
Good song - don't hear much of him anymore

********** NEW ***********

Sixties

She cried a single tear
A teardrop that was sweet and warm

That’s “This Girl Is a Woman Now” by Gary Puckett and The Union Gap. Very nice.

I have an original from 1956:

I got the rollin' artharitis sittin' down at a rhythm review.

Why, that's Roll Over, Beethoven, by none other than Mr. Chuck Berry.

Some 60s (for Tony):

Binky thumps the gut bass and solos for a while

Great choice there Jim -

That is Down On The Corner by CCR
I have always thought that Binky referred to the great bass player Binky McKenzie from Alexis Korner.
Could the Corner/Korner be more than coincidence? Don't know - just my deductions working overtime

******* NEW **********

Sixties - for a change

Though there's not a single sound and there's nobody else around

This one has been driving me crazy all afternoon because it sounded so familiar. FINALLY got it, I think:

Things, by Bobby Darin!! Good one, Tony!

From 1964:

Still trying to take me for that same old clown

(No idea on the Corner/Korner thing, Tony. Could be.)

Hmmm - Thinking that Jim used to stay out all night long - but it's all over now.
Great Stones song!

****** NEW *****

Sixties

They're drinkin', thinkin' that they got it made
Exchanging all precious gifts

That be Like A Rolling Stone, by Mr. Dylan. Why are we talkin' 'bout drinkin' tonight?

From 1977:

It's so easy to hurt others when you can't feel the pain
