Name the song the line is from Part II

It's a popular song but not so much with anyone over a certain age. "Right Round" by Flo Rida. Until I looked up the words, I thought the song was about a popular sexual act. It is about a pole dancer.

Getting back to our collective speed:

Those days of soda, and pretzels, and beer.
"Lazy, Hazy, Crazy Days of Summer," by Nat King Cole.

New lyrics --

"You treat me badly,
I love you madly"

(I hope those are right -- I'm doing it by memory, didn't google to see if I got the words right, lol)
Good Morning All,

Those words are correct if you are talking about “You really got a hold on me” by Smokey Robinson. I hope that’s what you meant, Sue. That’s a good one.

This should be easy:

I'll buy you a diamond ring, my friend
if it makes you feel alright

Thanks, Cyndee. Yes, that's the song.

Yours is "Money Can't Buy Me Love," by the Beatles.

New lyrics --

"The problem now, of course, is
To simply hold your horses,
To rush would be a crime"

That's Nice And Easy Does It. I can recall a version by Sinatra, but I don't know who did it first.

Some early 70s:

You dance when you walk
So let's dance, take a chance, understand me

OK, here's an additional line, and a clue:

You dance when you walk
So let's dance, take a chance, understand me
You're dirty sweet and you're my girl

This British group originally named themselves after a prehistoric beast. By the time they got around to recording this song, they had shortened the name somewhat.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for the added lines, Jim. That’s “Bang a gong, get it on” by T-Rex.

BTW, does anyone know if Elton John ever played keyboards for T-Rex? I recall seeing a video of them several years back. I could swear I saw him in a mild “glam rock” style outfit, playing piano and half-way dancing at the same time. He was wearing glasses rimmed in rhinestones.

Anyway, back to the game.

Here’s a hit from 1980:

When I first saw him standing there
I longed to speak but did not dare
Something inside whispered to me
You'd better move in carefully
I liked those gals!

"Those gals" being the Pointer Sisters, of course, singing He's So Shy.

This was a 1979 crossover hit, #1 Country and #5 Hot 100:

And who knows maybe, on some special night
If my song is right, I will find a way
While she waits...While she waits for me

(Edit: Cyndee, your memory is good. Wikipedia says that Elton John appeared onstage with T-Rex in a 1971 TV Christmas special, and also in the 1972 concert film Born To Boogie.)

"She Believes in Me," by Kenny Rogers.

New lyrics -

"I'm losing weight and turning mighty pale"
Looks like this one went over like a lead balloon, lol. Maybe 'cuz it's country.

I'll give a couple more lines, and if nobody gets it, I'll give it up ...

_____ ___ _ _____ __ ___ ____
It's plain to see,
I won't be much when she gets through with me.
