Name the song the line is from Part II

All I can think of at the moment is this one:

And in our world of plenty, we can spread a smile of joy
Throw your arms around the world, at Christmas time

Here are a few more lines, and a hint about the group:

It's Christmas time, there's no need to be afraid
At Christmas time, we let in light and we banish shade
And in our world of plenty, we can spread a smile of joy
Throw your arms around the world, at Christmas time

This "band" made up of British and Irish musicians got together just once, in 1984, to record this song to raise money for famine relief in Ethiopia.

Good Morning All,

Thanks for the hints, Jim. I seem to remember a song I think was called “Don’t they know it’s Christmas time?”. Is that it?

Here’s cheerful one in case I am right:

When the snow comes to cover the ground,
It's the time for play.
It's a whipped cream day.
I wait for it all year round.

Close enough, Cyndee.

Thinking...thinking...thinking...on your lyrics.

I had to peek. If someone gets this I will be surprised, amazed, aghast! Can I give a clue: sung by a woman, last century.
Hi, Shannon

It’s nice to see you posting to this thread again. Your hint was very subtle, so I’ll elaborate.

I hear this a few times every year on the radio. It was done by Darlene Love in 1963. I did a search for the song and found it was also popular when done by Dean Martin. I listened to his rendition and really like it as well.
The song compares the winter landscape to sweet goodies.
"It's a Marshmallow World (in the winter)" -- I remember it well by Dean Martin (would have gotten it without the clues, if I had been here, lol).

New lyrics --

"For you to scold me, hurt me, hold me ..."
I'm not totally sure about this one. So this is a guess. Is it TAKE ME BACK? I'll check back in a little bit.
That's it! By Little Anthony & the Imperials (at least the version I heard on the radio yesterday). Your turn ...
It's getting late for me. 4am is coming fast. So, if that is the right answer then someone can post for me.
