Name the song the line is from Part II

Good morning, and Happy New Year, everyone!

That's the Dave Clark Five. I think it was just called Over and Over.

This is from 1963:

But I believe a woman's a man's best friend
So I'm gonna stick by her 'til the very end

But I believe a woman's a man's best friend
So I'm gonna stick by her 'til the very end

OK, hint time:

  • Written by the famed songwriting team of Holland-Dozier-Holland, this tune was an early hit for Motown's best-selling 60s male artist. It featured backing vocals by The Supremes.

  • The song title, which is actually a question, sounds like something a trial lawyer might ask.

  • In addition to the above hints, I'm gonna throw in a few more lines that come up later in the song:

    Everybody knows, especially you girls
    A love can be sad
But half a love is twice as bad

    Happy New Year All,

I believe that’s “Can I get a witness?” by Marvin Gaye.

    Here’s some 1971:

    Now I've been happy lately
thinking about the good things to come
and I believe it could be
    something good has begun

    Edit: Oops, a typo.

Peace Train.....by the former "Cat Stevens"

    try this

I'm tired of weeping, I'm tired of moaning, I'm tired of crying for you

    hint

    60s-70s supergroup
    I'm So Glad by Cream?

This all I can think of-
    'People say I'm not okay'
    Is that "Aja" ?

Somebody else put up some new lyrics please.

I thought that it was John Lennon's Watching The Wheels, but then I googled and discovered I was wrong.

    It's not Aja, either.

The next line is "cause I love such elementary things" .
I googled the lines. So I’m out this time.
