Name The Song The Line Is From Part III

Looks like this one isn't working. I think we should probably move on.

I should have known it. Sorry, Sue. It's A World Of Our Own. Best I can tell, it was first recorded by The Seekers in 1965 (I remembered it when I heard it on YouTube). It later became a #1 country hit in the US for Sonny James in 1968.

How 'bout we try this 70s tune:

You might say that all I do
Is dream my life away

It must be hint time.

This song is from 1972. More lines:

I'd like to someday be the owner of
The first house on the moon
There would be no neighbors
And no population boom
You might say that all I do
Is dream my life away
I guess it's true
'Cause...

Only other hint I can think of is that it's Philly soul.

I'll give it up in a little while if no one guesses it.

"Stone in Love with You" or something close is the title I think

Oops, sorry. You got it, Phil.

New

and if we makeup just to breakup
I'll carry on

I won't be back until tomorrow night.

There is a song about breaking up just to make up (because making up is such fun, lol), but in Phil's song the words are reversed.

I keep thinking I've heard a song like that, but right now...I got nothin'. That's a lot of help, huh?

Hi All,

I broke down and googled, so I’m out. Phil is the master at posers. Usually I can figure them out after a lot of thought, but this one never made it onto my radar. BTW, that artist was very versatile. I really like the other hits he had.
I try not to pull a few lines from some obscure artists early work and call it a challenge. But this one got a fair amount of play as a 2nd tier effort by him. My opinion, not based on any data.

hint: the song title is repeated and then some. this sure is not some toe tapper.
Pulling the plug on this one. Nilsson's "Me and My Arrow"

The floor is open for a lyric.
