Name The Song The Line Is From Part III

Good one, but a toughie, Phil. I do remember it.

I was about to post this one last night. It's from 1966:

And the record man said "Every one
Is a yellow Sun record from Nashville"

Quite a show you're putting on here. Animated graphics and all. You've gone bigtime.
I still have no clue.

The steak ain't very good, so I have to sell the sizzle, Phil.

I don't recognize it, Jim. At least not yet.

A few more lines:

And the record man said "Every one
Is a yellow Sun record from Nashville
And up north, there ain't nobody buys 'em"
And I said "But I will"

Hey guys,

Gotta hit the hay pretty soon. I won't be around until mid-day Saturday, my time (CST), or possibly a little later. I'll give it up then if no one has guessed it.

In the meantime, I'm adding a second verse :

Yes, I was just thirteen
You might say I was a musical, proverbial knee-high
When I heard a couple new soundin' tunes on the tubes
And they blasted me sky-high

And the record man said "Every one
Is a yellow Sun record from Nashville
And up north, there ain't nobody buys 'em"
And I said "But I will"

Now I get it. The line about a “proverbial knee-high” clicked for me. It’s “Nashville Cats” by The Lovin’ Spoonful. It’s a clever and catchy song, like several of the ones they did.

This one should go quickly:

All my dreams fulfilled.
Great one line clue. Heard that line many times. Can't remember the connector(s) though.
Must be the King: Love me Tender.

I will be right back with new lyrics.
This is (obviously) from the 60s:

I will bring you incense owls by night
