I believe Sue’s song is “Georgy Girl” by The New Seekers. I can’t think of their name without remembering a silly joke from “Are You Being Served”. But that’s another thing. Good song choice, Sue. It’s such a lively, cheerful tune.

Another lively one that I think is kind of fun:

She was eating chicken and dumplings with some other guy.

That's Bread and Butter, by the Newbeats. It's lively, alright.

OK, I'll take a chance on an 80s tune. It's another one in the "upbeat and lively" category:

I wanna be the one to walk in the sun

…Cause “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”. At least that’s what Cyndi Lauper said. I don’t know a livelier one than that from the 80s, Jim. I like it a lot.

Sorry to bring up you down with this one from 1980:

Just pour me a drink and I'll tell you some lies

One of my favorite artists. Of course, I have about a hundred of those.

Love on The Rocks, by Mr. Diamond. Great song.

I think this was late 60s:

But only half as much as tomorrow

BTW, I remember the New Seekers joke from Are You Being Served?

Hint: The song is from 1969.

These are the first two lines of the song:

I don't remember what day it was
I didn't notice what time it was

And this is a line near the end of the song:

But only half as much as tomorrow

"I Love You More Today Than Yesterday"

Can't think of anything, so the floor is open ...

Well, I like this one:

The sun is bursting right out of the sky

Isn't that True Blue, by that gal who did the halftime show? Darn, what's her name?

From 1970:

A thumb goes up, a car goes by

Sorry, got distracted. I remembered that I liked True Blue as well, so I was off listening to it on YouTube.

My song was a #5 hit in 1970. It has a three-word title:

A thumb goes up, a car goes by
It's nearly 1 a.m. and here am I
_______' _ ____, _______' _ ____
Gotta get me home by the morning light

I got no fare to ride a train
I'm nearly drowin' in the pouring rain
_______' _ ____, _______' _ ____
Gotta get me home to my baby's side

I like that one, Jim it’s “Hitchn’ A Ride”, but I don’t quite remember who did it. Was that Vanity Fair? Anyway, it’s a good tune.

I hear this one from 1966 a lot:

Softly smile, I know she must be kind
