Name The Song The Line Is From Part III

I must have already logged out by then, Cyn. I could have guessed it without the extra lines.

It's a great song about memories, and longing for what you had. I liked it then, but I like it even more now. Thanks for posting it.

It's I Wanna Go Back, by Eddie Money.

Nostalgia also reigned supreme in this 1972 song. I'm not sure whether the one-line hint will make it easy or difficult, but I feel safe in saying most everyone knows it, on both sides of the Atlantic (it was #1 US, and #2 UK):

But that's not how it used to be

That’s “American Pie” by Don McLean. That is a nostalgic line, for sure. It’s from a great song too.

This one from 1978 is sort of nostalgic also:

Ask me how I know and I'll tell you so

Good one -- Used To Be My Girl. I think it was the O'Jays?

Some 1965 here:

And still you think that it's alright
It sure looks like “We Can work It Out” to me. We all know who did that.

I heard this yesterday and it stills sounds mighty good to me:

From where I stand, it looks mighty strange
how you let a woman like that treat you like small change

I'd know that "small change" line anywhere, lol.

It's Bad Blood, by Neil Sedaka. I liked that one a lot.

OK, it may not sound like it, but this line is actually from a very upbeat song:

Sometimes I never want to see you again

(Going to be away for about an hour. Back soon.)

I’m pretty sure that’s “(You Are) Still The One” by Orleans. It is upbeat and a good one indeed.

This is from 1977:

I got the sun on my shoulders and my toes in the sand

Sounds to me like you're in Jamaica (if I recall the lyrics correctly), and you're just goin' On And On. Now, if I could just remember who sang the dang thing...but I'm afraid that's gonna be a no-go.

Seems like I've missed , what, 3 or 4 artists in the last day or so. Jeez, wouldya please start picking the kind of songs where I know the artist, too? Huh?? Thank you! (hahahaha)

From 1966:

To string her along, it's just not right

Ah, come on now, Jim. I’m worse than you at “who done it”. Besides the name of the game is “Name The Song”. Imagine if we had to list all the artists who did them. We’d need a new thread every week.
Anyway, yours is “I Saw Her Again Last Night”. I have that by The Mammas and the Pappas.

Now for a short preface to this one. I don’t know if this will go well but I’ll try. It was a “B side” to a more popular single, but it is on the group’s “Very Best of” CD and has been covered a few times.

Do you know this?

Same dances in the same old shoes
Get too careful with the steps you choose

Edit: Darn the grammar
Generally speaking, I don't think we're allowed to do songs that require prefaces, BUT in this one single, solitary case, we're going to make an exception.

This decision was in no way influenced ( ) by the fact that I happen to own that very same CD, by one of my favoritest bands ever.

It's After The Thrill is Gone, by the Eagles.

Here's one from 1975:

I say you're doing fine
And I expect to hear from you almost anytime

I haven’t heard that one for a while, But I’m sure it’s “I’m Sorry” by John Denver. That’s a pretty tune.

I think it was from around the same time as this very different one:

The color of your skin don't matter to me
as long as we can live in harmony

Edited 'cause I goofed again
