Name The Song The Line Is From Part III

Good one! It's War, singing Why Can't We Be Friends?

Going back to 1957 for this one:

And the guy behind you won't leave you alone

Edit: Dummy goofed, too.

Adding a few lines :

Up in the mornin' and out to school
The teacher is teachin' the Golden Rule
American History and Practical Math
You study 'em hard, hopin' to pass
Workin' your fingers right down to the bone
And the guy behind you won't leave you alone

That’s “School Days” by the Great Chuck Berry. What can I say? It’s Chuck Berry.

A nice one from 1975:

So strong and bold as life unfolds a mystery to me

That's a nice one, alright. It's Falling In Love, by Hamilton, Joe Frank and Reynolds.

I liked this upbeat song from the 1978 film version of a musical. It charted #1 in the US and the UK.

Yes, I'm sure down deep inside

That’s another one that starts my head to boppin’ and my toes to tappin’, Jim. It’s “You’re The One That I Want” from GREASE. Nice choice.

In 1978 a rock group asked this musical question:

Shall I leave you my key?
I liked Foreigner, and thought Hot Blooded was just an honest, straight up fun song. Good one!

This group in general, and the lead singer in particular, were known for the raw emotion with which they sang. They did this one in 1965:

It's a hard world to get a break in
All the good things have been taken
But girl, there are ways
To make certain things pay
Though I'm dressed in this rags
I'll wear sable, some day

Edit: Same song, just decided these lyrics were more representative.

Hi, Tony. I believe that would be Chain Of Fools, by Areeeetha. Good song!

Some 1975 here:

I'm stepping through the door
And I'm floating in a most peculiar way
And the stars look very different today

This is Major Tom to Ground Control . . .

Space Oddity - David Bowie - Probably his best song!
