Being a non smoker and a non nicotine addict, I find it amazing that a person would become a nicotine gum addict. I thought nicotine gum was supposed to be used while one was weaning themselves from cigarettes and the addictive nicotine that cigarettes provide.

That's pretty smug.
You did identify the problem..."addictive nicotine".
Its not like a person pops a piece and is instantly reformed.
Kudos to those who try.
Even if they have to hang onto the gum longer than they want to.

So I am curious - lets say you never smoked a cigarette before in your life. But just for the hell of it you started chewing nicotine gum. Would you develop a nicotine addiction?

I believe that Nicotien Gum is the main reason that I quit smoking in 1993. But it does taste like poop!!

I never smoked and years ago I dated a guy who was chewing to quit smoking and he let me try a piece. It made me dizzy and I had to sit down.

I tried nicotine gum once. It was just too hard to ignite and it wouldn’t stay lit.
