Most computers come with a 30 day free trial of McAfee or Norton.
Per my computer person's recommendation, I use VIPRE.

Gmail is easy to use (for email).
Glad I have a DSL line. Cox cable is still on my sh*t list cause they disconnected my cable instead of a neighbors. Worst part of the experience was when one of their dufus's called to say my cable was on and the problem was with my TV and there might be a charge for them to come out and fix things. It was 100% their fault.

Sadly, I had to bale on the Jan. Vegas trip--Booked w/ Virgin months ago-- but alls I had to do was have my doctor fax over to them that he doesn't recommend I travel and I got full reimbursment on my credit card (Had a good deal for $364.00 round trip forom JFK non-stop.). Would have hated to eat it- and they wouldn't allow me to re-book as far away as July 2012
This doctor literally saved my life..it pays to have someone as long as I have had- been going to for 15 years- never sick but did yearly check ups and blood work.. He urged me to go directly to his hospital..do NOT pass go- do NOT collect $200.00..etc.
I have gladly traded this trip for 2 months off at home..something I never thought would happen until I was 67 and retired. This is Bliss!!!! Its 60 degrees here and has been lovely weather for walking

Today I have the stint from Kidney to Bladder removed.(So sexy, I know/lol) . hopefully, the rest of my time off is mine
