I'm all for LVA Members Meets (and that is what that board is for -- to hopefully set up meet and greets) and I do try to either go to them or set them up myself for when I hope to be in LV. It's nice to put faces to names and exchange War Stories and hopefully get together to play as well. That can and has happened to me over the years!

I agree. I also understand ken2v's valid point of dilution due to a larger pool of members. The meet notices I've seen on LVA tend to be relatively short notice, and for the most part are "anyone gonna be there on such and such dates", where the rexforum meets begin to gel months in advance, giving folks more time to make travel plans.

Perhaps there could be a return to more populated LVA meets with advanced planning and making those plans "sticky" notes in the member meet forum.

Bob, it comes down to the personnel involved. Lotta folks who did organize here are gone or just aren't as active, either on LVA or in their Vegas visitation. Mare, Sue, even me, and many many more. If I'm hearing you, you're also saying, and I'd say correctly, some of our meets of old and the ones you are seeing at Rex did involve advance planning. And I know there's always a massive meet of vegasmessageboard.com folks in conjunction with March Madness, for example.
Happy Friday
Happy Saturday

I am back on the Forum again and with the LVA. We will be going to Vegas this August and staying at the MC for the first time.

In July of 2010 my Wife had a massive stroke and spent 3 weeks in the hospital ICU. It was a miracle that she survived being on life support ect... The past two years have been a journey as we have moved and changed our life habits.

I look forward to reading your posts again and am Happy to be back.

Hey Jasper, welcome back!
