I was MIA for a couple years but recently came back. Had a lot of fun with the Chew Toy adventures but time to put him away in a drawer. Just getting back into gambling too... maybe a couple LV trips this year.

Have always enjoyed the fun, friendships and info on LVA. Hope it continues.

Marc, congratulations! That event sounds lots of fun. Every Golden I've ever met LOVES water so I can only imagine how they reacted to a wet t-shirt contest.

Ken, I've been a message board junkie for the past several years and post on a couple of forums. From what I've observed, boards cycle and people come and go. I miss some of the members that used to actively post. Some lurk and others have moved on. One of the things I miss is living vicariously through my higher roller friend's trip reports. It's unfortunate that some people got away from being respectful. So what if someone enjoys playing slots, staying at a CET property or enjoys playing short pay multi line DDB? So what if someone else only plays 9/6 JOB or 8/5 BP? It's the sharing of those experiences that makes a board interesting.

Marc...I'm hoping for that link to see the pooches competing for wet t-shirt honors. Also still waiting for a therapy session TR!

Someone asked so will describe the wet t-shirt contest and hope the person who took video on their cell phone posts. Two Goldens competed at a time. The were in a field in a fenced in area. Both were in circles that had been painted on the grass. In front of each of them, about 10 feet or so away, was a kiddy wading pool. Floating in the pool was a big, oversize, t-shirt. The human part of the team ran to the pool, called the dog to them. Being Goldens they lept into the pool. The person then had to put the wet t-shirt on them. The person then ran about 30-40 feet further on to a second wading pool and once again called the Golden to them. This time they had to put the tee that was floating there on the other end with rear legs in arm holes and tail out the neck. They had to knot it at the waist to keep it on the dog. They then had to run back to the original circle and call the dog to them. Winner was first to complete the course! Side splitting!

Will start another thread on our therapy dog visits to Shriners, still clearing up all the paperwork but hopefully not much longer!
