The Non Political Thread-For Those Who Want to Chat and Say Hello

New note to self: Do not take the 101 to Indian Bend on game day. Remember to drive surface streets.

And a GREAT facility!!

And the food may be the best of any stadium offerings, whether Cactus League, Grapefruit League or MLB.

Not doing Cactus league this year........maybe next. Scenic drive from LV to PHX, just Don't speed. lol

MissL- forgot to mention BofA near RR.
Maybe a mile from there, down Charleston, but easy walk, or drive thru.
CLV, thanks.

I might take Wed afternoon off and see a game. Ellenmonster, if you promise not to drop any terds, would you like to go?
A thread where we can chat minus the inclusion of pachyderms, jack asses or assorted genetically altered road kill going into a Troll platform or a POL meltdown on the issue of the day, nice. So, Hell-o to all.

I have not been around much recently. Our son and his family live in Missouri so the majority of our vacation is devoted to voyages to and from the “Show Me State”. I still like to live vicariously on the LVA but time just doesn’t seem to be available even for a mini log on anymore. Las Vegas could be possible somewhere in the future. I have scheduled appointments with TIAA CREF, Fidelity and the HR department to make sure retirement stuff is in place. I still have two more birthdays to go but it seems at this age time accelerates.

Our DIL has a two day interview scheduled this week for a tenured position at the university where I am currently employed. The university has provided travel expenses which indicate it is possibly a short list of potential individuals for the position. We are very hopeful for this employment to happen as it will mean we will no longer be strangers to our granddaughter. Our son was just accepted into Grad School in Missouri so he has mixed emotions. They are finding out that whether it is sunshine or rain it usually comes in large doses. Making difficult decisions are a part of life. I know there are some I wish I had a chance to rethink.

If we get to see our grand child on a more regular basis an occasional jaunt to Las Vegas would be a very viable option. We would also have someone locally to watch the wiener dogs. We could baby sit a lot and just ask for a little dog sitting in reciprocation. Trying to think ahead. Might decide to keep the LVA renewed.

Did Peyton sign with the Broncos?
Berferd, very nice to see you online. It's been a long time.
Congrats to both of your kids on their opportunities. Keep us posted.
