Thanks!
I'm a paid side member of LVA because there is still a lot of good info available from both veteran visitors and locals. I used to go to Vegas a lot more in the past than I do now. 1999-2000 I flew to Vegas at least once a month, 18 months in a row. Now I'm down to 2 or 3 visits a year, and this year it may only be one visit - I was there for 5 days three weeks ago. The down economy has been kicking my ass and I just can't afford to go to my favorite adult playground as much as I would like.

I'm also a paid side member of what was known as VegasRex, now known as therexforums since Rex moved to Seattle. A number of former LVA members migrated to that forum about 4 years ago. That much smaller group of people has bonded in real life in ways that I have never seen on LVA. They have multiple member meets every year. I've actually been to a couple of those. The sole purpose of those meets is to have fun with friends, both old and new, and we do just that. There are a number of LVA members that I would like to meet in person in Vegas and spend some time with participating in what Vegas is mostly all about - drinking and gambling and just having fun. I don't see that kind of camaraderie happening on LVA. That is a shame.
Anyone thinking of coming to New Orleans ?

1. Lots of Katrina mess all over the place yet
2. Evening news casts still commenting on it
3. Downtown still has damage, even in the FR. Qtrs
4. Drive around abit and you will be even more shocked

I can only imagine.
Last night on the news, they were talking again about Katrina
Wasn't that 7 years ago in 2005, anyways they were saying that
the company that supplied all those folks with new trailers, got
sued by those same folks and are now awarded $14.8 Million in
compensation for the conditions that they endured from living in
those trailers, " mold and other things, I didn't hear everything "
