NYNY Mayor Going Postal Over Picture On Stamp

Apparently one of the pictures submitted for the new “Lady Liberty” stamp was a close up head shot of the Statue of Liberty replica on the Strip in Las Vegas. This was selected for a new stamp. The mistake was realized after the photo was selected but the USPS plans to proceed with their selection. NY mayor is not a happy camper.

How about France and Egypt taking a photo opportunity on the Vegas Strip and printing their government documents with some good looking icons as well.

LOL
You actually made the same mistake as I do not believe "NYNY" has a mayor..
NYC does.
I love how the US post office says " we know it's not the real one but we like it and we're keeping it"

Ha! It's more Andy Worhol than gritty real-- I like it too
OK, NYC or the Big Apple has me pissed off anyway for getting the Space Shuttle. Many of us from around these here parts thought a Shuttle should be housed in the “Birthplace of Aviation”. It would have been on display at a really nice “Free” museum.

Since we didn’t get the Shuttle I have proposed that Wright Patterson Air Force Base release the items cached in Hanger #18. Spacecraft debris and alien bodies from Roswell would be a much bigger attraction.

Seattle is getting a trainer instead. Not as cool, but at least it will be very interactive - here is the link -
