Occupy

I am sure BR would not have any problem if the ows crowd showed up on his block for 2 months and:

1) set up a tent city
2) urinated on his front lawn or barging in on his home to overuse his toilet and make it overflow
3) prevented him from going to work
4) kept him up all night
5) had unsanitary conditions thereby creating disease and bad smells
6) comitted various crimes
Nah, having lived thru the Dinkins administration, that would all be a walk in the park.
But if my boss made me start bringing my lunch to work in a paper bag so I could avoid the bad bad people sitting in my park, that would certinly piss me off.
bloomberg apparently has discovered his balls about the numerous violations and removed the squatters this morning. They can return after the park has been cleaned but they cannot have sleep there or have tents

And the owners of the park (the ones you baselessly said were in bed with the protestors) agreed with Bloomberg.

Big Day coming Nov 17.

Increased pressure from local businesses, numerous laws and city ordinances being broken, over $1m per week in police overtime, complaints from other neighborhoods about decreased police presence, along with other cities waking up and realizing that these people are breaking numerous laws.

The owners of the park (who are the beneficiaries of owebama $) had 2 months to tell the city to evict them.

My favorite occupy movement supporters' unedited facebook wall posts, part 1.

"guys, i think there isn't another way, we have to abolish money, and with its, the abolition of hungry, poorty, slavery, corruption, tax evasion, violence, exploitation, steal, war, everithing sore, social pathology etc... there isn't another way because at this moment capitalism have transformed life into a great Monopoly, where people can only combact each others and lose, multinational have everithing."

I'm not about to get in the middle of this discussion, but just had to add.........

What if they held an Occupy.........and Nobody showed up?

Thats what happened here. Heard about an Occupy that was going to happen closeby
my bank & where my dry cleaners is...........decided to wait til Late afternoon to attempt to go to the
dry cleaners.
Went there, and didn't see any bad traffic or anything, so asked the Cleaners,
"Did you have any Occupy protesters here earlier today?"

He said, "I think a couple people may have been outside, but then they left."
It now looks like this was much ado about nothing.

Once their squatter camps were taken down, the movement collapsed

Actually, they are going to Washington this week. Don't worry Hoops. I'm sure they'll do something that will make you disingenuously upset.
