So I'm playing golf at Sandpiper in Goleta, with a senior manager from Valero. He looks at the relative handful of drill rigs, looks at the shore, beach, mountains and says: Offshore drilling? This isn't the gulf. I see why folks don't want this. Our rigs are OFF shore, you don't see them.

(We did not discuss seeing the byproduct, of course.)

Only the reindeer would see them in Anwar, but somehow, we cannot drill there.
