Phrases/words we can stop using in the new year

"Winning" ala Charlie Sheen.
Yes, it's carried over. There is a girl on The Batchelor that uses it in such a snarky way.
PS Guessing snarky is the ONLY way it CAN be used.

Basically and Actually kill me/ If the person is at work at my front desk I have total compulsion to tell them in a dead monotone voice that they need never say those "filler" words ever again- that they are just 4 syllabul (sp?) words that only give the speaker time to think..they are MEANINGLESS; well, times up/think faster/chop-chop.
This $#@% thing: Hunker Down
"To tell you the truth" or "truthfully". Are all the other things you told me basically lies?
I had a friend who hated people using "basically". Last year, a colleague I work with was using it a lot and I put on her goals for the year to stop using "basically". She did. It was a definitely improvement.

Another one that I'm hearing others make fun of: literally. On the Daily Show, a woman said that someone was "literally driving the economy over a cliff". The comic interviewer picked it up immediately and asked, "Literally?" And the woman said "yes!" It was funny.

Every once in awhile a "frankly" or "honestly" will rise to my lips. I'll squash almost all of them before they escape.

OMG, truthfully I find it amazing that a woman's baby bump basically becomes a winning cloud of joy, although frankfully she really does have to seriously hunker down for a while
hoops2 - does that make her a hero?
New word in sports the past few years- Physicality

Is that even a word??

And also that comes out of the mouth of Shannon Sharpe on NFL pre-games! He sounds like he has a mouth full of shit every time he opens it! grrrrrrrrrrrr

Rick
Sticks n' stones, but what really bothers me is all the Swearing.

Especially, F-bombs.

Some humans vocabulary is so limited that an F-bomb infiltrates almost every sentence.

Go to ToysRUs & you'll hear the parents using it more than their kids. sad.
