In it's position as the first state in the presidential nomination process, the Iowa wingnut contingent could give Sarah Palin a great head start toward the nomination. And since the already ridiculous rules in Iowa allow anyone to attend a caucus regardless of party affiliation, there will no doubt be an organized effort to get Obama Democrats to crash the Republican caucus - to vote for Palin.

I sure hope she runs. If so, this should be fun.

I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you regarding a Palin nomination.
Are you referring to the 2008 vice presidential nomination? I thought that worked out very well!

That one didn't count. Obama ran against Bush/Cheney in 2008. I don't think he's going to be able to blame Bush in 2012. Not that he won't try.

Unfortunately for Republicans they continue to embrace all of the economic pillars from the Bush/Cheney administration: unfunded tax cuts for the rich, deregulation, and privatizing social security. Its pretty hard to seperate yourself from George Bush when you support the same exact policies he did.

See...They're doing it already and PJ doesn't even know who the candidate is.

That being said, a run against Palin would be easier for Obama than a 4th run against Bush/Cheney. I don't think that will happen. All they'd have to do is focus on Governorship. Palin's quitting mid-term doesn't seem too presidential...except for Nixon. If she can't handle Alaska for her full term, how long could she last as President? It's a valid question and a reason why she'll never be President.

LOL....What am I blaming George Bush for? The economic recovery under way? I actually give him credit for setting fourth the interventions that started the recovery...something almost every conservative has since rejected especially since it came under the stewardship of the current president.

The Democratic strategy will not be to blame George Bush for the ongoing recovery. The strategy will be to ask voters if they want to go back to the same policies George Bush championed prior to the economic collapse - the same exact policies that every Republican running for office embraces today. Feel free to correct that last statement by giving me the name of any potential GOP candidate that has endorsed raising taxes on the rich or enforcing striciter regulations in the free market....

Exactly...Regardless of who the Republican Candidate is or what he supports.

There is no "regardless" about it as proven by your inability to give me the name of a single GOP candidate who doesn't support all the Bush policies I outlined. And if by some miracle you were able to find one they would have a snowball's chance in hell at making through the primary
P.J. - I ask again, what is your take on Obama?

Don't you think we should wait to see who is nominated before we declare him a Bush Double? If you know who the Republican Nominee will be, by all means share it with us right now.

If you really believe that "it doesn't matter...whoever is nominated will do the same things Bush did", then you should get the special Partisan Ballot...You only have to fill in one circle on the whole ballot...PJ Votes "D" for everything. I know...call me old fashioned...but I try take into account the individual's background and positions.
