I know. I'm really not ok with it. I'm just explaining it to you. I would regularly slam Bush for his complete lack of fiscal disipline. And now I will praise Obama for his promise to veto any bill with earmarks. But the bottom line is that constructive debate may lead to compromise and partisans aren't willing to do that. That's why it seems like I'm the only one in the world who actually supports the bipartisan Simpson/Bowles debt reduction recommendations. If you're really interested in moving the country forward and moving away from the political talking points join me in the NP camp.
