Reagan = Obama (POL)

How have oil prices done during this Obama Administration compared to Reagan? Under Reagan, prices FELL more than 75%. In todays terms Oil prices would need to fall to under $20 per barrel and I don't see that happening anytime soon. This IS inflation whether catured in government statistics or not.

That 121,000 jobs in the first 6 quarters of the Obama recovery looks mighty small compared to 5,300,000 in the first 6 quarters of the Reagan administration doesn't it?

I'm just saying the comparisons are staggering....
The Labor Dept originally thought 1.2m jobs were created in 2010 but that was based on an assumption of jobs being created thru new companies. In February the Labor Dept lowered that estimate based on actuals by 500,000. So the 2010 job creation was about 700,000.

The % of working age Americans is at a 3 decade low

PJ - since you feel the tax rates are too low the govt will accept your check if you want to pay more.

I simply note that you both praise and scold Reagan's tax rates out of the oppositte sides of your mouth.
You cant get through any thread without contradicting yourself. Just another day on LVA.

And lets not forget how oil prices skyrocketed under the bush administration.I believe oil prices hit $150 a barrel.I remember being in California in the summer of 2008 and gas prices were at $5.00 a gallon.

'Hoops had a stroke when Obama put a tax on tanning beds to help offset the payroll tax cuts in the stimulous bill. I can only imagine the reaction to all of Reagan's tax increses."

bama is on record as having said that he would not raise a single tax for 97% of the population but his various plans have tax increases. His latest scheme is to raise the gas tax

Actually the tanning bed tax was for obamacare, but I am glad you keep records of my posts
