Reality Check on Jobs

I dn't know anyone under 40 that doesn't use their charge card for EVERYTHING ALL day long.
No one uses cash anymore... unless you're poor maybe.
I don't know about everyone but I pay my bill at the end of the month- but I get cashback and points so I'm using my credit card..why use/carry cash?

However, the government is "buying groceries" each month and not paying off the credit card. The balance keeps getting bigger and bigger with no end in sight and apparently no hope of paying off the balance, much less reducing it.

In running up the "credit card" balance, Congress has not even taken the time to create a budget for the the last 2+ years.

How long could "our family" last in this manner?

One of the cool things President Clinton did was take advantage of a strong economy to run a government surplus and pay down the national debt. By doing so, he empowered future Presidents to react to economic downturns with fiscal stimulus, in which the government re-primes the economic pump with spending. Surpluses as far as the eye could see.

One of the awful things President GWBush did was squander that surplus on unfunded wars, unfunded social programs, and unfunded tax breaks. As a result, the federal budget plunged back into deficit. And, when his deregulatory approach crashed the economy, the federal government wasn't in a position to substitute stimulus for private investment.

Our nation simply can't afford to entrust the family credit card to another GWBush.

A democratic myth. This only happened after the Republicans took control of Congress and clinton was dragged to the table.

I do remember the 2006 democrats saying that if they had control of congress they would balance the budget. Since then we have had over $5,000 billion in deficits
