Romney pays 15% tax rate

PJ,

You would be better served investigating the housing purchase of one Barack Obama with Tony Rezko if you were soooo interested in truth, justice and the American way. But no one seems to be too interested in what a US Senator does financially with Blago's fund raiser.....at least here in Illinois.

This transaction was probably not exactly Kosher, while at least so far, everything Romney has done is legal.

But like Newt says, facts can be uncomfortable things for the politically correct.
Let me know when you get to the bottom of that whole Rezko incident, Frtiz. You'll likely find your evidence in the same vault as the president's birth certificate.

In the meantime, feel free to join the conversation at hand instead of changing the topic to your baseless conspiracy theory.

Clinton cut Capital gains taxes by 29%. Bush cut them by 25%. I guess Democrats were for Capital Gains Tax Cuts before they were against them.
"Let me know when you get to the bottom of that whole Rezko incident,"

While nothing is illegal, it is a sketchy deal

In 2005 Obama purchased a new home in the Kenwood District of Chicago for $1.65 million (which was $300,000 below the asking price on the same day that Rezko's wife, Rita Rezko, purchased the adjoining empty lot from the same sellers for the full asking price. Obama acknowledged bringing his interest in the property to Rezko's attention but denied any coordination of offers. According to Obama, while the properties had originally been a single property, the previous owners decided to sell the land as two separate lots, but made it a condition of the sales that they be closed on the same date. Obama also stated that the properties had been on the market for months, that his offer was the best of two bids, and that Ms. Rezko's bid was matched by another offer, also of $625,000, so that she could not have purchased the property for less

After it had been reported in 2006 that Rezko was under federal investigation for influence-peddling, Obama purchased a 10 foot (3.0 m) wide strip of Ms. Rezko's property for $104,500, $60,000 above the assessed value According to Chicago Sun-Times columnist, Mark Brown, "Rezko definitely did Obama a favor by selling him the 10-foot strip of land, making his own parcel less attractive for development

Baseless? Really?

I am to the bottom of it PJ......you are backing a Chicago Democrat. Do you really think that there are no skeletons in his closet? Call me a skeptic......but if it walks like a Chgo Dem, and smells like a Chgo Dem, it just might be a Chgo Dem.

I won't pretend to exercise logic with you as you are intractable, hopelessly marching to Obama's tune. Just one more year, more or less.
Yes, I know, Fred. Obama is the devil.

And I cant figure out for the life of me what that has to do with tax rates paid by the elite class. But go ahead and change the topic to a pissing contest to see who can throw the most dirt on the candidates in the next election.

...And for the record I never said Mitt was immoral or did anything illegal. In fact, I'm pretty sure the president's (devil's) effective tax rate is probably in the same neighborhood as Mitt's. The topic was not about the immorality of either person - but rather the immorality of the tax code that benefits them to the exclusion of working people. But that seems to be a topic you are afraid to debate...so dont let me get in your way. Did you hear that Obama is really a Muslim?
I'm trying to understand Mr. Romney having a large account in the Cayman Islands with a P.O.
box as the listed address.

How come? LOL

BTW, GM is now number one again in the auto world.
C'mon PJ, I didn't say he was the devil, I just said he was a Chicago Democrat. Not much difference, I'll grant you, but still......
"tax code that benefits them to the exclusion of working people"

PJ continues that democratic party line, but 47% of the population does not pay income taxes
I say if you all do not like it have his majesty revise our disastorous and overly complicated tax code.

Well if he ever does release his tax returns which I feel should happen. Now if he has paid a certain as you say low amount. Well if they are are done properly using evey available deduction. So what is the problem with that. I am sure the "One" does the same thing.

I most certainly do I will use every deduction that is legally available to ME. I had a 2010 effective tax rate of 12.57% so Mitt paid more than me at 15%.

So if you don't like it don't whine change it.
