Romney's Been Slathered in Santorum!

Republican's best chance is that no one scores an outright win and a brokered convention nominates Chris Christie. He seems to appeal to the widest range of constituents. no pun.

unemployment rate being around 16 per cent. Oh, them you would have to talk about the US citizens that have quit looking for jobs.

What about the Keystone pipeline? Give me an excuse why obamy has stopped this. There are
thousands of miles of pipelines in the US. obamy could care less if Americans work as long as he gets reelected and continues to destroy my country. Spew your stupid replies!

Alan, I agree with you that the Republicans best chance is to have a knight in shining armor emerge, though I am reluctant to toss out any names in particular to be de-boned by the vultures.

Part of the dynamic of an eighth-inning entry into the race is that it would significantly shorten the colonoscopy season. He or she would benefit from the freshness factor much like Ross Perot and Wesley Clark when they first put their toes into the water. The more we got to know them, the lower our opinion of them.
Hmm. Good question. Maybe just a few things...

NOT SO SURE ABOUT THIS LIST
- 23 months of uninterrupted job growth. - LESS AMERICANS ARE EMPLOYED NOW THAN WHE HE TOOK OFFICE. 1.2 MILLION AMERICANS LEFT THE LABOR FORCE IN JANUARY; IF THEY REMAINED IN THE LABOR FORCE UNEMPLOYMENT WOULD BE WELL OVER 9%

- saving millions of jobs in the auto industry - THAT NUMBER IS IN DISPUTE, PLUS HE BROKE BANKRUPTVY LAW TO DO SO

- killing the guy who attacked us on 9/11 - THOUGHT THE MILITARY DID THAT

- ending the war that took us off course from pursuing the guy who actually did attack us on 9/11 - DUE TO THE EARLY WITHDRAWAL IRAQ IS COLLAPSING & IRAN HAS A NUCLEAR WEAPON

- ending discrimination in the military - THIS IS ON YOUR TOP TEN LIST?

- preventing health inusrance companies from discriminating against sick people - A PROGRAM SUPPORTED BY LESS THAN 40% OF THE POPULATION; COSTS ALREADY RUNNING AHEAD OF PLAN; INCREASED MEDICAID COSTS WILL BANKRUPT THE STATES; NUMEROUS WAIVERS GIVEN TO UNIONS

- pursuing a tax policy that forbids billionaires from paying a smaller rate than the lady who cuts their hair.-A FALSE STATEMENT

- pursuing an immigration program that doesn't involve building a wall and catapulting immigrants over the top of it. - AND WHAT IMMIGRATION PROGRAM IS THAT?

Oh, I could go on an on. The point is despite many of Obama's shortfalls as president (and he has many) his base seems to be more energized to reelect him than (name your GOP candidate)'s base is to elect him. - CURRENT MATCHUP POLLS SHOW THAT THE 3 CANDIDATES ARE WITHIN THE MARGIN OF ERROR; CURRENTLY TRAILING SANTORUM.

Other "successes"
1 - longest period of 8+% unemployment in decades
2 - 40m+ on food stamps - a record
3 - 14m+ unemployed; most since the depression
4 - loss of America's AAA credit rating
5 - largest deficits in world history
6 - slowest post recession recovery
7 - highest % of Americans living below poverty

two ignorant dems with no answers! whats new. you two deserve obamy!

I always love your answers, Jeff. Ya know - when you pop in, throw a temper tantrum, stomp your feet, cry, and then leave.

Holy crap, things are really getting dicey for the President.

According to a Pew survey conducted over the past few days, President Obama only leads Gov. Romney 52-44, a slim 8 point margin. He also only leads Sen. Santorum by just 10, 53-43.

For a President plainly gunning for the biggest Presidential landslide in 40 years, these have to be very sobering numbers.

This isn't an arguementative statement, just something i happened to come across this afternoon and i remember this being stated here so i thought i'd share. It shows such a difference in character between the two.
I don't really remember if these were exact words, but i do remember this was pretty much the gist of both perspectives.

Two Key Paragraphs In Two Presidents' Speeches

George W. Bush speech after capture of Saddam:
The success of yesterday's mission is a tribute to our men and women now serving in Iraq. The operation was based on the superb work of intelligence analysts who found the dictator's footprints in a vast country. The operation was carried out with skill and precision by a brave fighting force. Our servicemen and women and our coalition allies have faced many dangers in the hunt for members of the fallen regime, and in their effort to bring hope and freedom to the Iraqi people. Their work continues, and so do the risks. Today, on behalf of the nation, I thank the members of our Armed Forces and I congratulate 'em.

Barack Obama speech after killing of bin Laden:
And so shortly after taking office, I directed Leon Panetta, the director of the CIA, to make the killing or capture of bin Laden the top priority of our war against al Qaeda, even as we continued our broader efforts to disrupt, dismantle, and defeat his network.
Then, last August, after years of painstaking work by our intelligence community, I was briefed on a possible lead to bin Laden. It was far from certain, and it took many months to run this thread to ground. I met repeatedly with my national security team as we developed more information about the possibility that we had located bin Laden hiding within a compound deep inside of Pakistan. And finally, last week, I determined that we had enough intelligence to take action, and I authorized an operation to get Osama bin Laden and bring him to justice. Today, at my direction, the United States launched a targeted operation against that compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan.

Seems like quick to blame and even quicker to take credit on things.
