There are other places to post on the internet. Wow. No kidding. Kevin set up lvadvice.com. Many of us have been active at vegasmessageboard.com for years. People come. People go. Some people are reputedly "sick" of lasvegasadvisor.com though they still post here, whether on the paid or, this I like, free side. Etc. etc. etc.

Let it go, people. If you really are intrigued by what happened to someone, then call or email them. And if you don't have their phone number or e-addy then it's obvious you weren't that close in the first place.

Yes, people do come and go in all kinds of places and people have all kinds of reasons why they're coming or going.

With here it could be that people aren't going to LV enough to justify what they may get out of this, they may have what they think is enough information about LV, beefs with management. That's just unfortunately the way it goes. And you never know if someone new will have something good to contribute. But circumstances and people can and do change over time.

I only mentioned JReller still being somewhat here and giving his location since Noahcat mentioned it and he is fine with still being contacted.

David, I wasn't singling you out or questioning the whys and rationale for heading out. Plenty of legit reasons for staying or going. But at some point people need to stay or go. It's childish to go to another board lamenting the POL threads here then starting POL threads here. The "February" jokes were hilarious the first 2731 times; that they might still be apt isn't relevant at some point when someone has reputedly moved on.

As for Jerry, yes, he's still alive and well, thankfully.

No, Ken, it's okay! I knew that you were not singling me out! I actually was agreeing with what you were saying that there are all kinds of reasons why people may stay, leave or come in and that this is just the nature of any group.

It obviously all depends on what people are (or are not) getting out of whatever group that they have affiliated themselves with.

And I'm happy that Jerry is still around but I also wanted to help facilitate more people being able to contact him if they want.

Time will tell if Anthony and Co have made the right business decisions......I'm not so sure LVA will be here 3 years from now. Enjoy it while it is here and support it if you can!

I still miss having the option to view all the new posts from all the Forums at one time (on the paid side). I am interested in everything connected with Las Vegas and want to view with one click what the latest discussion is regardless of what the topic is.

It is a time-consuming hassle to go from topic to topic. The activity on the paid side dropped immediate after this change took effect and it has just gotten worse and worse every year.

Just a thought - but I find sometimes these boards become an exclusive club at times, with insider jokes, jabs, and reports that make no sense to someone not a memeber of the club. Don't get me wrong, I'm not being sensitive - I do get useful info from members. I used to get a kick out of Jenipher's reports (excuse me if I've misspelled) and haven't seen her on these boards in quite a while. Regulars like Westie and Gregrio are constantly sharing great info, and others find the time to research questions and help both old and new memebers get the best up-to-date deals. That's what I like most about these boards.

Krisboyle - I concur. I find this "club" you allude to as being one of the reasons some of the previous members who used to post have quit. They, like myself, don't need or care for their holier than thou attitudes and mean spirited comments. They seldom offer any redeeming information but come across as if they know it all. In reality, I find them to be a sorry lot.
