John, my brother & family are here visiting from Maryland. Guess where we ate last night? MARION'S PIAZZA!! My brother always makes it a point to eat there at least once, if not twice when home for a visit

Other things friends/family miss when they move away from Dayton are Mike-Sells potato chiips and Esther Price candy (my mom taught me well - that it's the ONLY candy there is!). And what about the Old Hickory Bar-B-Que! Love those ribs! Dominic's was always a popular place but now torn down (property bought by Miami Valley Hosp).

Oh man, mike =sells potato chips and esther price candy. How could i forget those. I took a tour of mike sells when i was in grade school,I can still taste those chips coming out of the fryer still hot. Domincs was another place we would eat at regular,i was so bummed when she told me it burned down. Foe some reason we never did old hickory much but i have a few freinds that would like to be buried there LOL.
AHHH......the memories. Too bad i cant get over there more.

We have season tickets to Kings Island and have gone to there during the Halloween season. Great area for the younger children during the day (only till 5 pm if I remember right). Then the park opens up in the evening for the haunted houses/ventures! I've never done them but my 37 yr old son has many times and loves it! I know the rides are going during the day but at 5 pm the children's rides stop. But not sure about the bigger rides. I don't know how it would compare to Cedar Point but maybe they're comparable now that they're run by the same company. If you have any specific questions I can check w/my son for you.

jatki99 (John), I don't remember Dominic's burning down - just that Miami Valley purchased it and had it torn down. I could be wrong, I just don't remember it.
