Spin the Bottle

I played this teen game in like 6th and 7th grade-- in rec room basements.

I think it helps to live in the mid-west and have a basement- that where we all got into trouble

It almost NEVER went the way you wanted it to, right?

It was awkward and stupid but it broke the ice...

Question-- did you ever play spin the bottle as a kid/teen?

I have a pal who thinks it's a made up game from movies/TV ala last episode of Glee...

I remember playing this game as a kid. We children played it in the cave as the tribe elders went out hunting for mammoth, but that was a while ago.

Seriously, it was a popular party game during my youth and it was as awkward as you describe. I was in the NY Metro area so it is not a mid-west phenomenon.

We played a variation on Spin the Bottle which was called "7 minutes in heaven" where after the bottle was spun, the couple left and found a nook for 7 minutes and then returned.

heck, a teenage boy could go twice in 7 minutes...

hey- they don't really make coke/RC cola/Tab or Pepsi bottles anymore- do todays teenagers play spin the kindle or redbull can?

So why isn't there a facebook / iPhone app for spin the bottle????

Kids sit cross legged in a circle and take turns spinning a bottle- whom it points to you then lean in and kiss.
