heck, a teenage boy could go twice in 7 minutes...

hey- they don't really make coke/RC cola/Tab or Pepsi bottles anymore- do todays teenagers play spin the kindle or redbull can?

They still sell soda in glass bottles in my neck of the woods. Of course, they are more expensive than buying a can or a plastic bottle. But, you could still play spin the bottle with a plastic bottle.
JM, your posts usually seem to elicit recollections of events long since past. This one needed review before scripting. I’m old but still shy and virtuous.

In my youthful boyhood years there was a major absence of appropriately aged females worth smooching. We would just spin a baseball bat to determine which team would bat first. We heard rumors that there were adorable young ladies on the other side of the tracks and hoped they would be lured by our sporting efforts, but naah!

My first real experience with a spinning bottle situation involving a coed group was when my wife and I were invited to a couple’s party by some friends. I was a little apprehensive when the bottle came out but was assured it was only to pick the engineer for the next game.

The next game was one I believe they called caboose. The person who was selected engineer had to pick a member of the opposite sex for the next car on the train. The second “car” then had to choose a caboose. They would put hands on the hips of the person directly in front of them and shuffle thru the house making train chug, chug and choo, choo noises until they disappeared into one of the bedrooms.

Once the train was in the bedroom the engine person would give a passionate kiss to the next car in line. The caboose was to be expecting a kiss and puckered up but got a slap in the face. They would choo, choo out into the living room and pick a new caboose and continue the process.

The next game involved someone hiding and everyone had to find them and fill the area where they were located; I.E. hide in a closet and everyone had to cram into the closet. The last place someone hid was under the covers in bed. While the group was piling into tight shower stall Becky and I grabbed our coats and made a silent exit for the door. We were just expecting to play euchre.

We played Spin the Bottle in junior high; but our version was a little different. Whenever the bottle landed on you, you had to remove a piece of clothing. Now in hindsight it seems very interesting that this game was taught to me and my group of friends from young men we were hanging out with from a neighboring town
Yep, we played it in ohio, probably late elem or early jr high. I remember just the plain version of spin and kiss whoever it pointed to.

BerFeRd,
Oh dear- you were "this close" to a key party swinger/suburbs..

Where you put your car or house keys (Couples only) and then as the night goes on- you or the little woman picks out aset of keys from a fishbowl and that (new) couple slips away.
Those are big in Ohio too
OMG--spin the bottle brings back soooo many memories. LOL First time playing--gosh I must have been about 5 years old. My brothers had friends over and we played spin the bottle--me being the only girl--thinking back--I think I was just the pratice dummy as they were all about 12/13 years old and getting ready for their first boy/girl dance party. Guess I was a better option than praticing on each other. LOL. I was clueless at the time and just had a big crush on all by brothers friends. What is so funny about that was as I got older and had a clue what was going on and was really interested in my brothers friends and vice vera--my brothers got very protective and wouldn't even let me talk to their friends.

We were the mid west family that had the basement with all the parties. It was always do much fun. I miss those days--especially now that we are getting ready to sell the old family house I grew up in.
