Starting a boycott against a beer company

I'll join your boycott of Stella, but mostly because it tastes foul. I've never understood the popularity of that one...
I haven't read the label, but I'm pretty sure it was bottled here. Very little of beer imports are brought in bottled. Certainly, nothing of any significance.

Here are the brands owned/controled by AB InBev, they would all be under the boycott (one of my favorites is on the list, Spaten):

I tried to do a little research on beer bottle size.
The only European bottle I've got is from the Czech Republic, and it's 375ml (more than 12 ounces).
In Britian, the standard bottle is 500ml
US standard "long neck" is 355ml (12 ounces)
The Dutch have a standard of 300ml (10.1 ounces) Whimps! But doesn't Heineken in the US come in 12 ounce bottles? (ps Did some more research. A year ago Heineken cut the number of sizes they produce internationally from 15 to 5. They were selling 15 different sizes of beer).

In Europe, there are smaller bottles below the the 375ml. So Europe stood and took this beer expropriation. Looks like the US will have to bail out the Europeans again. WWIII: This time it's about the size of beer bottles.

Say no to 11.2 ounces!
I say embrace the metric system. I want my beer bottles to be 500ml!!!

I took the $25.00 BeerMasters tour in Merrimack NH last summer, versus the free self guided tour, and the one thing that our tour guide mentioned was in fact that a few years ago AB was contemplating buying out Corona or Stella; and they chose Stella. Anyone else considering doing this type of a tour is a must, that being said, when we finished our tour we were all presented with a gift bag worth at least $25.00 in merchandise, " hats, coolers, very nice pilsner glasses, coasters etc. " that alone was worth more than the $25.00 paid, plus we got our own area to taste test everything they offered, plus munchies and the free tour people didnt get this, we also got pics. So I have often wondered if they made a mistake in buying Stella instead of adding Corona to their Stable.

Lee,
AB InBev owns a controlling interest in Corona. The the question left is if they'll buy up the minority share to own completely.

Your beer tour sounds interesting. I plan to tour Europe some day based on finding breweries. I'll travel Belgium, Germany and Czech Republic.
nice list.

somebody needs to go on a noah trip!!
Frito-Lay is another company that is making their products smaller and raising their prices at the same time.
EZ solution: Support American craft brewers.
I agree about craft beers, learning more about them, as I love beer, but will not support anything owned by AB InBev, which is considerable, looking at that list. They own Anhauser Busch and are quietly phasing out the magnificent Clydesdale hitches. They no longer make commercials with them or appear anywhere. After a 58-year history of appearances, they were not in the Rose Parade this year! As a family of horse people, we feel the anguish the handlers of these stunning animals must feel. Don't bring Bud to my house! Sorry - had to vent.

Linda
Next time you're in the grocery store, take a look at the "double" roll of Charmin bath tissue. Now cut that in half, and look at how big a regular roll would be. This is how they've been doing us to make it look like they're not raising prices. And by and large, the consumer never notices, because the changes are gradual. It's much easier to catch it when it is something as obvious as an 11.2 ounce beer, but much harder when you're talking about square inches and millimeters.
