Television too big????????

Has any one ever wanted a larger TV set and once they went out and purchased if felt that it was to big for their room????? and not been happy with their purchase????????? >>Just replaced a 42 inch older DLP TV with a Samsung 60".I did a bit of measuring and my couch is now 16 feet back from the screen>>>>I don't feel the coziness as when I had the table rug TV and other items closer to the book case area of the Great room. The couch is now parallel with the Breakfast Bar almost>>>>>Being a guy I am just not the best with design and planning out a room but this is an opportunity to get better at it!!!!!!>>> I purchased at Costco I can return and go with any model I like>>I am aware this is not a bad problem to have just the same this is a riddle I am wrestling with .Any comments appreciated
Their is a saying that the only person who really likes change is a Baby with a wet Diaper??????I am going to live with this till the beginning of next week and then take action if I am still not happy with this change.
I'm all about a person being comfortable with what they have (or have purchased). And so if a 60 inch set is too big for you and you can return it, then I say by all means do it!

Maybe you should take a photo of it so you might compare with another lesser inch model if that might help you in the future!

I have a 60" LG and sit about 11 feet away. At first I thought it was too big, it took me a while but I got used to it and now love it at that distance. My suggestion is to move up to a shorter distance, maybe 12 feet, and give it some time - you will get used to it and I think you will like it at that distance.
thanks for the feed d page..........After about 3 days I am starting to enjoy this set.....I moved the table it is resting on closer to the wall plus I have pushed the TV to the back of the table and this has allowed me to move the couch a little closer ..........IT is going to be a winner........That size was just a shock at first...... Now.......To learn these smart features and streaming from my iPhone........but that is another headache!!!!!!!!!LOL

Just curious - how's the 60" TV working for you now.

When I purchased my 60" for our bedroom I worried some about the size (of course so did my wife) but the salesman stated that 10-16' feet is about the average viewing feet with the 60. We love it and it has an awesome pic.
I am now delighted with my purchase................Costco has been great.....I have 90 days to return for any reason...........plus for $59>>I have an additional 3 years with a great extended warranty .....So I am good for 5 years........ I t was a learning curve getting used to the bigger screen ...............
Sometimes you purchase more than you need. Back in the 70's I purchased an 8 Track tape player, but i only had a one track mind!
