No personal computers

Actually, my generation (born in '69) did have video games and personal computers.

There was Simon, and Merlin, and Mattel Football....

And there was Pong and Atari...

Not to mention Apple, Commodore, and others...

I sure didn't spend all of my childhood rolling a hoop down main street with a stick. Just some... :-)

I think President Obama has been a tremendous disappointment. ...what we're seeing is a president who is ideologically committed to higher taxes, to bigger government, to having government dictate to people how they lead their lives..

I'm confused...

Do we have all sorts of problems today, or is everything great?

For someone who can't complain, you sure do complain a lot. :D

Yeah, I read where Custer at Little Big Horn said, "Here comes those damn Indian kids again."

Me, I always wanted to be a Bowery ruffian in NYC circa 1900.

Mugs, Glimpy, and I beating up on Mr. Blackwell.
Billryan: Your Little League must have been very different from the one in my home town. They had tryouts every year. You signed up, they pinned a number on your back and then the coaches watched you field fly balls, grounders, step up in the batter's box and watch you swing away. A couple of days later, they gave you a call and told you which team you were going to play for or that you didn't make the cut. They also had a "minor league" that you could try out for...same deal. Tried out for both leagues every year, but never got on a team. My older and younger brothers played little league, but I never made it, as several of my friends failed to make the cut. Life has it's dissapointments, but I survived. This was back in the late 50-s early 60-s. Played a lot of sandlot baseball with the other kids in the neighborhood...no girls allowed. Used to shag foul balls at the Legion baseball games for 50 cents. I still have my baseball glove,,,hope to pass it down to my grandson one day; that is if he is a lefty!.

I think Maddy must be the love child of Drmiller. That apple didn't roll far from the tree.
BillRyan- I have ignored your asinine taunts long enough. In the future if I want any of your mouth I will tell you so. Until that day or when Hell freezes over (whichever comes first) keep your comments about me to yourself. I may not say what you want to hear and I might not agree with your comments, but you have crossed the line with me.
