Those of You Born 1930-1979

Feel free to ignore me, if you wish. I'll continue calling a troll a troll and wondering if you piss in your own oatmeal every day or if someone else does.
To change the subject--LOL

Jeff--I have forgotten about those wonderful computer/games of the 70's. I remember getting the pong video game (real name of it ??) for Christmas from Grandpa. It was a huge deal. The first day I got to play it after Xmas I had to stop and go to the neighbors cause Mom had to go to the ER and get my brother as he had fallen down while he was out rabbit hunting and broke his arm. Good news was that he couldn't wash his own hair and paid me a dime to do it. hey that was a huge deal to a little kid in the 70's.

I too didn't make the ball team-it was soft ball not little league.

My kids--born in the 90's did have a Simon, drank from the hose and also pee'd and poo'd outside LOL. Played out side from dusk to dawn, but had to stay insight of the water tower (that changed when I figured out they had made it the 5 miles into town and could still see the tower and they were only about 7) I guess us country kids are just a little slow.

I guess I am thinking out the old days alot as my Dad passed away over the winter and my brother and I are fixing up the house we grew up in to sell it.
I was born in '71- I heard on the radio the other day, a morning show female radio personality (or whatevery they are supposed to be called) who put together a mix of 90's music for the show. She said the 90's was the best era of music. (She is in her 20's) WTF!?! I have some great memories to 80's music but wouldn't call that the greatest era of music. What about songs that actually have an instrument played in them? We could all argue about the "greatest era" but I can't imagine the 90's would be it!

Tammi,
Remember..
Glen Miller and Eric Clapton are God

Biglar--We had the same type of tryouts as you said. I coached a team for a couple of years and the biggest problem I ran into was the parents and them telling myself as well as other coaches how to field the team. Would not have traded the time spent coaching it was a blast. Your team could be up by 6 or 7 runs going into the last inning and you want all kids to get in the game and guess what more times than not you blow the lead and the game. But the approach you had to take was it was a game of fun and a learning experience for the younger people to play as a team.
