You don't get it. Your condescending attitude is very apparent in your new-found inability to address me by my name. You imply that my presence on this site is that of a whiner and/or nutjob. I'm sure you can search and see every single post I've made on this site. All 1500+ of them. I have not been a lurker on this website. I have contributed to the overall information base that is the reason for the existence of websites like this one, paying to do so on the paid side.

The majority of my posts have had nothing to do with politics, and when directed by Oddy to move political discussions to the Kitchen Sink, I did just that. I played by the rules and my views are contra to yours, so you changed the rules without warning. Erased thoughts and discussions in total.

When my subscription to this site expires this year, I will not renew if you are in any position of authority to regulate these forums. I will make sure AC knows that. Oddy and Becki knew how to deal with people. You know how to play golf. Stick with what you know.

If you think political posts in the Kitchen Sink forum are responsible for many (any) people leaving a website that is devoted to Las Vegas and gaming in general with such a multitude of forum topics other than the KS, you, and at least one other person who put you in a position to change things, are sorely mistaken. Restricting the KS won't increase posts in the other forums. It will, in fact, reduce them.

The only person I've ever seen whining was you ken, proclaiming certain threads turds and such. Nobody ever forced or even invited you to read any of them. As far as nutjobs, there were some highly knowledgable and intelligent posters on those threads who obviously enjoyed having some pretty reasonably civil discourse on things that affect some of the very fabric that is of concern to all.

How would you feel if i clicked on your link and started complaing about whatever it is you write about proclaiming it a "turd" and bitching incessantly about about the topic you write about. I would venture to guess you'd say "why did you click and read it?".

Anthony will pay a price for this in terms of revenue and profit. Business decisions have consequences in a capitalist economy. Is that political?

You guys are paranoid, too. I'm no more of a mod than nmterlv or you, jatki. Paranoid. But when you run in a swirl of partisan mania it is hard to notice the many many times that folks here have posted "no mas" in relation to all the flotsam.

Ken - you have dived into the politics pool also

Will I miss the political fights - yes (provided a perverse entertainment to my day)

Will I cancel - no; still enjoy the site, the coupons and the newsletter for the gambling info; although with only 1-2 trips per year I don't always have enough current input.

Being in the media business I also go to a media site that has a forum where political discussions are allowed. I have never participated becasue the topics inevitably quickly devolve into a FU/FU back mode faster than you can say forky

PJ and I will instead be content to debate the NFL
