never thought I could do w/o LVA for my daily bread
Bingo.
Much of the "life" that is LVA now takes place on the FFA, and it's been that way for quite a while. When I think back to the 50, 80, 100 folks who over the years really gave life to this place, all but a few have moved on, and most all of those who remain have little to do with this place even as they maintain some level of contact. It's understandable. The old neighborhood changes in life and in cyberdom. New interests, boredom, disaffection with customer service or the product. I know I was here more for the people than the content; how many times does a person really need to hear about the luscious MSS buffet or who has the best 3.99 lobster tail? And we simply don't want to Vegas as we previously Vegased. We want to put our travel time, dollars and interests into the diversity that is this country and beyond. Finally, on a professional level, Vegas is now just a small part of what I do.
As you and I do, Sis, it's nice to maintain some of those ties elsewhere, online and in the world.
