2020 Election Results Thread (Orange Crush Edition)

This thread is to discuss election results of the 2020 election as they come in.  

I voted today as I always vote in person. My polling place was deserted which is great news as I live in a Republican area. 

Because they count mail-in votes first, early results in GA, NC, and FL will probably look good for Biden. 

Because they don't count mail-in votes early, the northern swing states will probably look good for Trump early.

Patience everyone.

Reports just coming in, Biden is leading Trump nationally, 9 votes to 3.

Let's stop the election now and declare victory!!!!!!

I wonder if our resident Trumptards will go along with the Orange Cheater when he declares victory at midnight tonight, with something like 100 million votes left to be counted. (They're all "fraudulent," as in, "tend to be Democrat," so let's burn them.)

At least the Republican voter suppression efforts in Texas failed, and for the most part, similar efforts to keep people from voting or to keep their votes from being counted in other states have been stymied. I predict that this will be not just a win for Biden, but a blowout. The reason? National polling tends to undercount communities of color and the poor. And those groups have voted, and are voting, in droves.

So the real drama will come when Trump and his goons try to overturn the election in the courts. Will they succeed? Probably not. Will the buck-toothed droolers with GUNZ show up and start threatening people? A few. Will Trump be dragged out of office and charged with multiple felonies and sued out of his big fat shorts? YES!

Though the forces of decency definitely have to win the White House, it's all for nothing if we don't get the Senate as well. That's only about a 5 in 8 chance, so not in the bag at all. But even if we fail there, at least we'll have stopped Trump and returned to old-fashioned gridlock. Biden can reverse every single one of Trump's executive orders, reinstate treaties and trade agreements, etc. He can also render the Senate impotent. So in that scenario, a few things get fixed, and much remains undone. Not great, but better than the shitstorm of the Dark Times 2017-2020.

The most likely scenario now is a narrow Biden win. Followed by weeks of whining and bleating from Trump, Stalker, and their ilk that the election was "rigged."

It's such a shame that the Trumptards don't realize what grave harm four more years of Trump would bring. They're happy at the prospect. Dear God, they're stupid.

You are going to be crying soon. All Biden has to do is win the states he is currently leading in. And guess what? In the states that have votes left to count they are from mostly urban areas and early votes which both favor Biden. I wouldn't be surprised if Biden picks up Georgia and wins Pennsylvania to boot.

It is amazing how Michigan & Wisconsin suddenly got 140,000 & 100,000 votes for biden & none for the President

Or do you somehow know that every single one of the absentee ballots being counted contained a vote for Biden, and none at all for Trump?

The reality, by the way, outside of Tom World, in the real world, is that absentee and mail-in ballots are more likely to be Democrat than Republican voters by about a 3 to 1 margin. So, more votes for Biden? Absolutely. But more votes for Trump, too--just not as many.
