2024 may be the last election

Trump has stated that he will make himself dictator for life if he wins. He's also said that all elections that either he or his loyalists lose are ipso facto fraudulent, and the results will be nullified.

In 1933, German citizens thought that Hitler's talk of establishing a fascist state with him as his permanent leader was just that--talk. 1933 was Nazi Germany's first and last election.

However, it's not the statements of the fascist dictators that matter. It's the adoring crowds that cheer as they make them. We have those crowds now--cheering as the promise to snuff out their right to vote is shouted by our very own American Hitler.

How can anyone support this man without feeling a deep sense of shame?

How can ANY of us have any pride in what our politicians are doing to us?  They work for their party or own their relection, not for us.  If they did, our debt wouldn't skyrocket, they wouldn't make more money than most people dream of and they would have some manners!!!

Kevin, I agree 100%

Well, Susan, you make a grave mistake by considering all politicians to be equal (equally bad). Some are much better than others; some are far worse. When you throw up your hands and say, "They're all %$%$^%#," you're leaving the door wide open for the genuinely bad ones to seize power.

Many politicians are in fact civil; many do in fact care about their constituents and work to make their lives better; many make only their salaries and aren't billionaires. And if you're concerned about debt, consider that it mostly exists because people are living far longer than the creators of social programs ever anticipated. Not much we can do to fix that!

You want to know how to spot a good politician? One who champions policies that if enacted, will COST them votes. That shows that getting votes isn't their first priority.

Trump has stated that he will make himself dictator for life if he wins

Did not say that.  He did say, tongue in cheek, that he would be dictator for 1 day to overturn sleepy's executive orders.

It is the democrats who are working overtime with the help of their allies in the DOJ and court system to prevent their number 1 threat from running.

NY democrats have ignored a NYS law that established a redistricting commissionto do draw HR districts.  They then stacked the courts to help them.

They worked with the media to restrict conservative media on the internet.

They then tried to mandate vaccines, masks & social distancing.

They mandated business closures & churches with no scientific evidence, but kept some businesses open at their discretion.

Schools were closed with massive learning losses.

FBI & the DOJ have been weaponized to prosecute democrat party opposition.

Mayor Adams complains about the birder & suddenly he is under FBI investigation.  He is now quiet.

Trump was quickly indicted over his documents but the biden investigation on his theft of documents as a senator has gone nowhere.  Bear in mind senators are NOT allowed to have confidential documents.

FBI chases after mother's groups complaining about their children's education.

Democrats are against school choice; they prefer to educate children in state sponsored schools.

Ca as well as other democrat states want to eliminate the people's choice in cars, home appiances and how they heat & cook.

To protect their dear leader they didn't have any debates & pushed Kennedy out of the primaries.  The primary schedule was stacked so biden's best states went first.

Rumours increase that after the nomination is secured, biden will then drop out & declare his delegates for another candidate.  Is that democratic, to vote for 1 person & then have that candidate switched out?

Push to remove a rival party's member removed from Congress but keep an indicted senator?

Dear leader is rarely seen in public; maybe once or twice a week, at which point someone guides him around & he mumbles a few sentences & is escortedback to his car, chopper or plane

I have checked the internet, CNN,MSNBC and other media outlets and am unable to find that President Trump said what is claimed here --"Trump has stated that he will make himself dictator for life if he wins. He's also said that all elections that either he or his loyalists lose are ipso facto fraudulent, and the results will be nullified." If he did, please leave a link. -- In my estimation, if what has been attributed to President Trump supposedly saying can not be verified, then this must be untrue. If found to be untrue, how can anyone believe the person who posted this post without feeling that they have been lied to?

There isn't.   There are some opinion pieces out there that Trump will become a dictator, but the man himself only said one day, as you posted.  People just need something to freak out about.

Here is one opinion piece from the Washington Post.  https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2023/11/30/trump-dictator-2024-election-robert-kagan/

If you "can't find it," then you're not looking very hard. Of course, as a Trump disciple, you have no reason to--why find out that you're a dictator's lackey?

But just to help you--Trump said all these things repeatedly before the 2020 election, and he promised to be a dictator--using that exact term--twice during the first week of December 2023.

He actually said it twice in the same week, and most of the country has forgotten--as you have--that he said in 2020 that any election he lost would be ipso facto fraudulent--i.e., that it was impossible for him to lose a fair election. He later said that that was the case if ANY Republican lost ANY election. He later promised to nullify the results of any such election.

Besides that, his continual campaign bleat has been that he will use the agencies of government to "punish" his enemies and exact "revenge" and "retribution." If those aren't the actions of the dictator, what are they?

He's made his intentions crystal clear, when he did and when he didn't specifically use the term "dictator."

Just an addendum--Trump's campaign trail messaging has been about "revenge" and "retribution" and using the government to "punish" his enemies. These are the plans of a dictator, whether or not the word is specifically used.
