258 Things . . .

The list includes:

1. Things that would only been seen as positive if you adhere to Republican ideology.

2. Things that, while positive, cannot be attributed to Trump's efforts.

3. Things to do with the Obama economy--which we are presently in--that Trump falsely takes credit for.

4. Things to do with the economy in general that are due to global market forces, not Trump's policies.

5. The destruction of trade agreements, which can only be seen as positive if you buy Trump's narrative that those agreements were unfair.

6. The implementation of various anti-immigrant measures, which can only be seen as positive if you hate immigrants.

7. Tax cuts for the rich, which can only be seen as positive if you love the rich and ignore the huge budget deficits those cuts created.

8. Destruction of environmental and workplace safeguards, which can only be seen as positive if you are an amoral business or corporate owner.

Given the rabid partisan stance of the goon who wrote the list, I am surprised that it isn't much longer, giving Trump credit for the sun having come up during every single day of the golden age of his presidency.

I could easily craft such a list, at least as long, of the harmful and stupid things Trump has done to this country since taking office, but that list is self-evident to anyone who reads the news and isn't blinded by slavish Trumper loyalty.

Apparenlty Kevin believes that the black man is sad about going back to work and getting a raise.  I disagree.

I didn't say anything about black people in particular, but I would imagine that the black man is sad that his wages have remained stagnant for over two decades, while the cost of living has more than doubled.

I would also imagine that some people, of any race, have gotten jobs that they didn't have before; some have gotten raises; that has been the case since 1776. I fail to see how Trump deserves any credit for that--especially given that his trade wars and tariffs have destroyed thousands of American jobs.

But as I said, you can give Trump credit for the sun coming up if you wish. He certainly would, if asked.

Although Black Unemployment remains a bit higher than Asians/Whites/Hispanics all 4 racial-categories of unemployment are the lowest since the year 2000.

Oh, and since Election Day 2016 the wages of Non-Whites have been growing faster than the wages of Whites.

Ref: Bloomberg / 10 Oct 2019

And really...you seriously believe that that is due to anything Trump has done? You cite a trend that has been occuring for 19 years, by your data.

You failed to tell us what the comparison is of nonwhite vs. white wages prior to Election Day 2016. You can't cherry-pick your facts. I suppose your posit is that the day Trump was elected, employers ran out and started madly hiring nonwhite people????? And somebody actually gathered race-oriented employment data precisely on Election Day? Really???

Let's compare the eight years of the Obama presidency to the <3 years of the Trump presidency in terms of growth in GDP, real wages (adjusted for inflation), or whatever other economic indicators you wish. (And no, the stock market is not such an indicator.)

Let's also acknowledge the simple fact that economic policies take several years to have an effect on the economy overall. We're in the final years of the Obama economy. 2020 will be the first year of the Trump economy. The damage to the economy from Trump's trade wars and gigantic budget deficits won't be fully felt for another year or so. Let's see what happens then before you start crowing about Trump's genius management of the economy.

Kevin, I suggest that you do some research on "real eanings".  It would be prudent to evaluate the last 20 years or longer.  Once you do this, you might want to retract you comments from above.

I didn't say anything about "real earnings." I mentioned inflation-adjusted wages. And those indeed have been stagnant for the last 20+ years.

That isn't a problem confined to the Trump era, of course, but it belies Trump's crowing about how he's made everything so much better for the average Joe. He's made things much better for the wealthy. That much is certainly true.

Kevin, real earnings are inflation adjusted earnings.  You might want to check what real earnings have done the past several years.

258 ?   Sounds like the number of Congressmen who will vote to impeach the man who extorted our national security to help his campaign.    I'm not very thankful for the rest of them.   But its  a big country and the Email-gate people need representation too.

Happy Holidays !
