Liberals didn't hear about it, because even the nutty writters can't hide from the truth that Trump has cut the murder rate by 90%. Instead of reporting the truth, they've stayed silent. Never trust a Lyin' Liberal.

Prove your assertion. Then try to tell us why trash collection has reduced the murder rate.
Jumping in with an observation or opinion, since the other 100+-post DC murder stat liar liar pants on fire thread has lost its luster:
Opinion: IMO, the average citizen in any state, county, or city, the "murder rate", however calculated and reported is minimally impacted on a daily basis, if at all, beyond reading about it or TV news or cell phone/computer click bait. But the average citizen IS directly impacted when trash piles up in your neighborhood or highways. It doesn't kill, but makes your neighborhood or state unsightly and eventually lowers property values 'cause nobody wants to live there except the 'trash' when property values decline enough for the 'trash' to afford a house. Whether an actual problem in your neighborhood or mine, deployment of any contingent to perform trash collection likely gets more attention, maybe attaboys, than 'murder' stats.
CRIME, however is a different stat, at least I suppose it is. No need to go into all the kinds of 'crime' that make us nervous reading about it. But home invasion, thefts, robberies, smash and grabs, child abductions, and yes, school shootings are things that get to us and want solutions. Even discarding trash on the streets is punishable by some laws of most cities, but little is done about it, understandably. The same 'trash' that throws their trash on the street isn't likely to change their ways, and 911 is too busy with radar, traffic stops, car crashes and domestic disturbance calls to chase a driver who threw their sandwich bag out the window.
Well, this is too long already and I don't know what questions it leads to. But more than 'just' murder statistics.
Rant over.

The only question relevant to that, and this, existentially stupid thread is: does Trump's temporary deployment of National Guard troops have any real effect on violent crime, specifically murders?
Note that I said "effect." Not just a fluctuation in numbers.
I for one doubt that these troops, with little or no experience in police work and no familiarity with the streets of DC, are having any actual effect.
And given that the taxpayers are funding this farce to the tune of $120,000 per soldier (so far), I think there are better ways to keep DC parkrs clean,
NY has had the Guard stationed in the subways, airports and train terminals for 5 years, but thats ok

There's a difference between the two cities, one is a traditional approach and one is not.
Do you know the difference?

It's OK because:
It was done at the request of city authorities--not forced upon them
The Guard troops know the city and the venues where they patrol--Trump's goons don't
They are stationed where additional law enforcement is actually needed--not picking up trash
Got it, stupid Tom?
Calling our National Guard troops goons is very offensive and unAmerican.

And that would be Kevin......very offensive and unAmerican
About 2.8 million to 1 odds of only 2 DC murders in 23 days. That's the proof.
Kevin buys into the Liberal media lies, while the odds tell the truth.
