Heh. Nice try, weasel. The absolute number of deaths is irrelevant for the purpose of comparison. What matters is the rate--as you yourself said. Dead-red Trumper cesspool states have the highest RATES of gun deaths, whether they're large or small.
Guns ARE needed to combat criminals, who, by the way, have guns. Until criminals have no guns, guns will be and are necessary for protection. As far as "penis substituation" goes, I am sure Kevin packs a derringer.
