I'm afraid that the chances of him actually being punished for any of his crimes are still one in a thousand.
It's horrible that MAGA types are pitching death threats against the officials who are simply doing their jobs. Trumpers are violent assholes.

I think he will be prosecuted. There is undeniable evidence he committed serious crimes. Will he get punished? I'd be happy with house arrest for the rest of his life. The real punishment is going to be doled out to Republican elected officials. They will forever have to walk around with the taint of Trump for supporting a guy that committed espionage against the United States. It is pretty hard to campaign on national security and law and order when you are walking around with orange feces smeared all over your face. Not to mention they will never escape the smell.
But for the 75 million, the smell is an aphrodisiac. And that includes all the Trumpy judges. A case runs into any one of them at any time, it dies. So all Trump and his gang will have to do is keep filing appeals.
And we've known Trump is a criminal for years. The documents theft is actually small beer compared to all the other horrible shit he's done. And has he been punished for ANY of that?
I agree with you that Trumpiness SHOULD be a stench that will never wash off. But look at how well some of the worst, Trumpiest politicians are doing.
