After 1 year of DemocRatic policies and rule

I was wondering what got Jerry ginned up about Dr. Fauci. Then I read a NYT article about how Ron DeSantis is trying to make his personal star rise by resisting Trump. One of the ways he's doing that is by attacking Dr. Fauci and Trump's reliance on his advice. There's quite the little lovers' spat going on between Trump and DeSantis; Trump thinks DeSantis should be a loyal lackey, but DeSantis is grooming himself for a White House run.

So I speculate that Jerry is a Florida Man.

(I should also point out that except maybe in Jerry's alternate reality, the economy was never "shut down" or anything remotely close to it.)

Nope, WI.  I just don't like Fauci.  I thought you'd like DeSantis for separating himself from Trump.

Why did we pump out tons of stimilus into economy if it wasn't shut down?  

Hmmm...let me see if I can come up with an analogy that you might understand...

Think of the economy as a car. A car is either moving or it's not. However, a car can move faster or slower, due to the actions of the driver, the condition of the vehicle, or external conditions such as roads or weather.

"Pumping tons of stimulus into economy" is like pressing the gas pedal--because the car is now going up a hill. Pressing the gas pedal makes the car move faster even if it isn't completely stopped when you do it. The car might not be moving as fast as the driver wants.

Get it?

The economy has never been "shut down" or anything close to it. The greatest decline was during the worst of the Depression, when economic output decreased by about 25%.

But a car slowing down from 60 to 45--25 percent--might definitely cause the driver to step on the gas, right?

But why did we send everybody home froim work for 4-6 weeks in spring of 2020 and not now for Covid?  Its odd that the Democrats were killing Trump for not wanting to do that then but now they are fine without doing it.  What changed?  Or yeah, the POTUS changed, as did the flip flop party yet again.  

What changed?  You mean aside fromt the vaccine and anti-virus meds invented between now and then?

Gee, not much I guess.  I know those are tiny variables but they might actually figure into a thoughtful person's disposition.   Not so much of you're a conspiracy driven eye doctor from Bowling Green.

And what do those vaccines exactly do again?  Oh yeah, stop the spread......

Is that what Rand Paul says?    Knee-slapping Dr Fauci says the vaccines reduce the severity of any re-infection.   And he has those silly statisitcs that back him up.    

The overwhelming majority of people in hospitals and morgues right now are unvaccinated.      The people who took the vaccine can get reinfected for sure - but they largely dont end up on a  ventilator   

That is not what the little guy said to start.  You have to tune in as it changes almost daily with him and his great credentials.  

Really?  He said before that vaccinated people suffer as badly with infection as un-vaxed?  I'm sure you can find the quote of that one, right?    I left lots of space below for you to cut and paste it.

No he said to get the vax to stop the spread to start......Oops.  Well at least it helps you fight it off once you have it like you said.  I'm not debating that with you,  I'm simply pointing out what they all said to start.
