It's called "greedflation."

Republicans have been advocating for price controls.
All I know is I bought a "Party Size" bag of Ruffles last week which introduced me to "shrink flation".
Lets just say if your party has more than 2 people in it you're going to run out of chips by halftime.
What is so bizarre 😳 is the Republican prescription for inflation is to enact massive tariffs which will make inflation shoot instantly through the roof. The Republicans are actually campaigning on prices aren't high enough lets make them higher.

The reason that tariffs are such a big part of the RepubliQ playbook (and why they were part of Trump's) is that they're inherently racist. Don't buy from the heathen Chinee! Buy 'MURRICAN! Sounds good on Fox Nooze.
Anyone with even a rudimentary knowledge of economics and/or history knows that tariffs have never worked. Smoot-Hawley very nearly tanked the US economy, to give one example. And Trump's tariffs harmed domestic industries without protecting anything.
But I make the error of speaking reality. The American voter makes his/her decisions emotionally, not rationally. And "protecting" US companies sounds superficially appealing.
