President Asshole insulted our neighbors to the north - so they are spending their vacations in Cancun and the Bahamas instead of Florida and Las Vegas.

Congratulations to MAGA and their standup comedy act about the 51st state.  I'm sure Governor DeSantis is appreciatting all the lost business you are causing his state. 

I am worried that flights will be cut back from the Canadian West Coast to Las Vegas very soon.

You can fly for $23 Canadian from Las Vegas to Vancouver.  That is not going to last very long.

I asked Anthony what a drop in Canadian visitation would do to Vegas. He said it would hurt quite a bit, but then he said it'll never happen, as Canadian visitors, just like any others, are Vegas addicts and won't be able to stay away from their fix.

I disagree. I've traveled the world, literally since I was three years old, and I've never wanted to go to any place I disliked, whatever that place may have had to offer. In particular, I've never wanted to go someplace where the leader/leading party was talking shit about the US. Who needs hostility?--even if the rhetoric didn't reflect the majority opinion.

Trump appears to not believe that Canadians are patriotic. I expect a LOT of Canadian avoidance of the US in the coming months, just out of national pride. Now, there may be just as much short-range cross-border visitation, Americans going to Whistler, Canadians going to Mt. Rainier, that sort of thing. But vacationers who have to fly thousands of kilometers anyway will be waving at the US as they pass overhead.

The Canadians I know that freqent Vegas tell me they are cutting back.
