But we also need a national prosecution of anyone who watches and/or contributes to Infowars. At the very least, sterilization and deportation. Anyone who listens to and believes the crap that Jones has been spewing all this time doesn't deserve to exist in a decent society.

Jury awards parents 41.5 million today ...thats on top of the 4.5 million yesterday.

The good news is there's plenty of job openings at fast food restaurants right now.    Alex should land on his feet.

Under Texas law that will be reduced drastically. If you're middle-class in Texas, judgments can wipe you out completely. If you're rich, they let you keep most of  your money.

The judge in the case apparently has the authority to override the cap, but that would trigger an appeal.

The value in shooting down Jones will be that future cases can be heard, using the same evidence, in states more civilized than Texas. For instance, the next case coming up will be in Connecticut, where the Sandy Hook shootings took place, and there are no limits on punitive damages. They can strip him clean there.

Unfortunately, this from a Kevin Rose Tweet matters more than Jones's finances: "The decision against Alex Jones is unlikely to put much of a dent in the phenomenon he represents: belligerent fabulists building profitable media empires with easily disprovable lies."

When I saw that Tweet I thought of another belligerent fabulist, the one who built his political career and attempted to "torch our democracy," as Mitch McConnell said, with easily disprovable lies starting with the one about Obama's birthplace and ending (if there's a God in heaven) with Jan. 6th. Please, Merrick Garland, hurry up.

Fitting that Alex Jones and the tRump crime family could end up bankrupt at the same time.
